Bitcoin’s price isn’t set by any company, government, or central bank — including Coinmama. It is determined purely by supply and demand across hundreds of exchanges around the world, where buyers and sellers agree on a price every second of every day. The figure you see in the calculator above is a market reference rate drawn from live trading data.

Supply is a big part of why the price moves the way it does. Bitcoin’s supply is capped at 21 million coins, and the rate at which new coins are created is cut in half roughly every four years in an event called the halving. When demand rises against that fixed supply — driven by news, adoption, regulation, or market sentiment — the price climbs; when demand falls, it drops.
